Techy Fans Download Bowl Game Travel Information with New Podcasts
Chicago, IL (PRWeb) December 31, 2006 -- College football fans heading to BCS Bowl Games beginning on January 1st can pack an iPod full of travel information to find out everything going on while they are attending the event. Sports Traveler Radio (STR) recently released special Bowl Game Preview Shows for each major BCS Bowl Game beginning with the Rose Bowl on January 1st in Pasadena, California. Other podcast shows include the Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl and the BCS Championship on January 8th.
"Fans can listen before they travel to the games, or if they aren't going, find out what they will be missing," said Anbritt Stengele, President of Sports Traveler and the creator of STR -- Sports Traveler Radio. The popular on-line weekly radio podcast covers various travel information for many major sporting events.
Each STR Bowl Game podcast previews the Bowl Game match-ups and includes information about where fans can find pre-game festivities as well as family friendly events taking place around town. Live interviews from host city and event committee officials, on-site tour guides and even seasoned veteran fans all give their best advice on how to make the most of a Bowl Game travel experience.
"I've traveled extensively to many sporting events, but there is always that moment when you arrive and you don't want to miss out on anything fun or special that is going on. I have heard similar things from our many clients that we arrange game tickets and travel packages for. That's why I decided to start podcasting about all these great things to do beyond just going to the game," said Stengele, herself an avid sports fan who founded Sports Traveler, an on-line sports travel information website that markets sports packages and event tickets, nearly seven years ago.
She added, "We have been producing weekly podcasts for the past six months covering everything from World Cup Soccer to baseball and NFL road trips. The college football Bowl Game podcasts were a natural addition."

Stengele admits that not every sports fan is an owner of the popular iPod or an MP3 player device, but she says her websites have recently added a special feature to listen to the podcasts on-line without having to download any special software -- just in case you are among the many technically challenged. Said Stengele, "My mom wanted to listen to the shows so I made sure she could by just clicking a button on my website."
