Squaremouth Adds New AIG Travel Guard Product Enhancements to Offerings

Among the new features, the "cancel for any reason (http://www.squaremouth.com/travel-insurance/information/travel-insurance-cancel-for-any-reason-benefit.html)" and "cancel for work reasons (http://www.squaremouth.com/travel-insurance/information/travel-insurance-cancel-for-work-reasons-benefit.html)" coverage will capture clients' interest.

"The newly released Travel Guard product enhancements strengthen benefits for an already excellent product, and most importantly provide a strong flexibility element that allows our clients more choice" Squaremouth.com's CEO Chris Harvey says.

While other tour operators might offer a version of "cancel for any reason", Harvey explains that "cancel for work reasons" is rare, but he expects this offering will grow among third party travel insurance companies.

Travel Guard's optional "Cancel for Work Reasons" option provides coverage if travelers are unexpectedly forced to cancel a vacation due to work obligations. For travelers who don't have to cancel their trip but may be required to work while on vacation, this package also includes "Business Assistant" services*, which offers emergency dictation; business correspondence assistance; etc.

The new "Cancel for Any Reason" coverage reimburses 50-75 percent of the trip cancellation penalty (based on plan purchased) if the insured cancels a covered trip for any reason, up to 48 hours prior to departure. "Cancel for Any Reason", which must be purchased within 15 days of initial trip deposit, is offered as an optional, add-on coverage to Travel Guard's Cruise Tour, & Travel and ProtestAssist insurance plans.
