Jennifer's Journey New Online Gateway to Women's Travel

Carmel-by-the-Sea, California (PRWEB) October 3, 2007 -- Jennifer's Journey (www.jennifersjourney.com), a new women focused travel site, recently unveiled their web presence. The site offers travel getaways exclusively packaged for women alongside special features such as a feedback function featuring guest photos and travel experiences.

"This site is as much about the women who take the journey, as the journeys themselves," explains founder, Bev Sanders. Sanders is a pioneer in the snowboard industry and founder of 10 year old Manifesta Safaris for Women, which offers premier surfing, painting, and golf vacations in domestic and international destinations.

According to the June 2007 American Express Travel Agency poll, there has been a significant increase in the number of "girls-getaways," including vacations with girlfriends or female relatives. While spa, beach, and shopping vacations are favorite escapes, agents say women are increasingly taking cruise, culinary, city, and active vacations that include golf, skiing, scuba diving, and biking.

"We'll include all types of activities from the physically exhilarating to the cerebral and serene," continues Sanders." Our target audience, has her own money and isn't afraid to spend it on herself. She considers travel a necessity, not a luxury. She's forever young, wants to have fun, and while her personal and professional resume reflects her years of hard work, she's making time to play.

Jennifer's Journey was inspired by the memory of Sander's 41 year old sister, Jennifer, who lost a four-year battle with cancer last winter. "We both lived such busy lives, but often talked about how we'd travel together someday, never thinking it wouldn't happen," recalls Sanders. "The day before Jen passed, she lamented the fact that she hadn't taken the time to travel."

"One thing Jen taught me is that today is for living your dreams, not tomorrow."
