New Online Travel Guide Features Innovative "Chance Of Hooking Up" Rating

Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) March 25, 2008 -- After travelling through South America for six months, blogger Roosh Valizadeh returned to the United States and created a South America travel guide for men, located at http://www.rooshv.com/travel. Each city guide contains a rating called "Chance Of Hooking Up," which predicts the odds a male visitor to that city will kiss a local girl. The scale ranges from a 1 (extremely low chance) to a 5 (guaranteed).

"Established guidebooks like Lonely Planet and Fodors are excellent for lodging and sight recommendations, but they don't give you details a man might be interested in. Single men with only a week or two off from work want to visit a country with flirtatious and available women instead of historical buildings," said Mr. Valizadeh.

Also included is a country breakdown of how the local girls compare to their Western counterparts. In Argentina the girls were described as beautiful but "difficult" and prone to disappearing and playing "games." Kinder words for written of Brazil: "It doesn't get better than this."

There are three dimensions to the rating: availability of girls, girl friendliness, and find and meet logistics. Not included was girl attractiveness, an omission that was contested by readers upon the guide's launch. Mr. Valizadeh responded to the criticism: "Attractiveness is a very subjective quality I found hard to incorporate on a simple rating scale, but I made sure to stress that Argentina and Brazil have the most naturally beautiful women in South America." Other countries included in the guide are Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

The trip began in August last year after Mr. Valizadeh, 28, decided to end his six-year career as an industrial microbiologist because of what he labeled a "quarter-life crisis," which stemmed from doubts he had about the direction his life was heading. After putting himself on a strict savings plan for two years, he quit his job, sold his car, and moved into his father's house before starting the trip in Quito, Ecuador. The plan was to visit every country in South America but he came back six months later, short of his goal.

"I was mentally and physically beat after six months of travel. I contracted giardia and salmonella, and ended up having to take the rabies vaccine because I woke up one night in Paraguay next to a dead bat. The strong side effects of the vaccine was the final nail that sent me home. I still have stomach problems that my doctor said may be with me for the rest of my life."

He currently lives in the basement of his father's house, planning his next trip. "I hear good things about the women of Eastern Europe," he said. "And Sweden too."
